Taner Ceylan

As an artist, Taner Ceylan is renewing himself. That's why he loves working with different artists, and that's why he has brought to light a new way of depicting his interest in art history.

A German-born painter, photographer and 12-year Istanbul resident recounted his life in Turkey.

Miniature artist Taner Alakuş's third solo exhibition, 'Auto portrait,' curated by Ceylan Harmancı, will open at the Caddebostan Culture Center Art Gallery on Oct 20.

The exhibition can be visited through Nov 20.

Taner Ceylan loves to discover new things and research to fulfill his desire to create. His paintings show his curiosities in life and how he is able to ask the right questions. Ceylan's emotionally charged paintings also reflect his personal life. His state of mind reflects in his paintings as he once again shares the technical mastery of 20th century photo-realism. 

Contemporary art fair ArtInternational, which kicked off at the Haliç Congress Center on Sept. 4, ended on Sept. 6 after registering a record-breaking set of sales. More than 30,000 people visited the fair over the three days. 

More than 2,000 collectors and art traders visited the fair, bringing in a record-smashing total sales value of $30.2 million.
