Brnabic: Foreign services politicised Jadar project in 2022 to slow down Serbia's development

BELGRADE - Serbian Parliament Speaker Ana Brnabic said on Wednesday foreign services had politicised the Jadar lithium mining project in 2022 to slow down Serbia's development.

Speaking at a press conference in the parliament building, Brnabic said what had happened in 2022 was a result of "games" by foreign services.

Dacic, Chinese ambassador discuss security cooperation, fight against crime

BELGRADE - Serbian Deputy PM and Interior Minister Ivica Dacic spoke with Chinese Ambassador to Belgrade Li Ming on Tuesday, noting the significance of Serbia-China cooperation in security and the fight against crime.

Dacic noted his ministry's readiness to continue to strengthen cooperation in the field.

Serbian Armed Forces display HQ-17AE anti-aircraft defence system for first time

KRUSEVAC - The Serbian Armed Forces' newly-acquired HQ-17AE anti-aircraft defence system was publicly displayed for the first time at Friday's tactical and technical assembly in Krusevac, also attended by Serbian PM Milos Vucevic and government ministers.

The HQ-17AE is a Chinese-made short-range anti-aircraft defence system designed to protect troops on land.

Dacic: Gendarmerie has convinced people it will not back down in fight against crime

BELGRADE - Serbian Deputy PM and Interior Minister Ivica Dacic attended a Gendarmerie Day ceremony at the Diving Unit Base in New Belgrade on Thursday.

Dacic said the Gendarmerie had convinced the people it would not back down in the fight against crime and all challenges that could potentially threaten national security.

Vucic receives farewell visit from Czech ambassador

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic received a farewell visit from Czech Ambassador to Belgrade Tomas Kuchta on Friday, thanking him for his exceptional contribution to advancement of the traditionally good relations and overall cooperation between the two countries during his six-year tenure in Serbia.
