Mrkic, Kuroki sign agreement on Japanese government donation
BELGRADE - Serbian Foreign Minister Ivan Mrkic and Japanese Ambassador to Serbia Masafumi Kuroki signed and exchanged notes on a EUR 1.43 million worth non-refundable donation from the Japanese government to Serbia, expressing the hope that the donation will further improve the friendly relations between the two countries.
IMF, Serbia talks start
BELGRADE - A mission of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has started the talks with Serbian officials in Belgrade on Wednesday on the state of public finances in the country, the IMF Resident Representative Office in Belgrade confirmed for Tanjug.

Udovicki: Macroeconomic situation is difficult
BELGRADE - Director of the Center for Advanced Economic Studies Kori Udovicki said Tuesday that the macroeconomic situation in Serbia is very difficult, adding that a delegations of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is visiting our country to determine how urgent are measures that will have to be taken by Serbia’s new government.

Kuwait marks 53 years of independence
BELGRADE - The Kuwaiti Embassy in Belgrade held a reception at Hotel Hyatt in Belgrade on Monday evening to mark 53 years of independence.
Ambassador Yousef Ahmad Abdulsamad said on the occasion that diplomatic relations between Serbia and Kuwait have spanned over more than fifty years, and noted that the countries have friendly ties and that there are no open issues.

Jazz turns 97
BELGRADE - Belgrade's Akademija 28 will host the 97th Jazz Birthday festival from February 26 to March 1.
The club has celebrated the anniversary of the publishing of the first jazz record for 8 years now. This year, the festival will be international, because a Norwegian band called Norsk Linie will be appearing on the festival stage along with Serbian bands.
