Serbia, Czechia exchange MoU

BELGRADE - Serbia and Czechia exchanged a MoU in Belgrade on Wednesday, at a Palace of Serbia ceremony also attended by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Czech PM Petr Fiala.

The MoU between the Serbian Ministry of Economy and the Czech Ministry of Industry and Trade was signed by Serbian Minister of Economy Adrijana Mesarovic and Czech Ambassador to Belgrade Jan Bondi.

Vucevic welcomes Fiala in Belgrade

BELGRADE - Serbian PM Milos Vucevic welcomed Czech PM Petr Fiala outside the Palace of Serbia in Belgrade on Wednesday.

Fiala, who is on an official visit to Serbia, was given a guard of honour, red carpet welcome as the national anthems of the two countries were being played.

The ceremony was followed by a tete-a-tete meeting between Vucevic and Fiala.

Vesic: I will officially resign as minister on Tuesday

BELGRADE - Serbian Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Goran Vesic announced he would on Tuesday officially resign from his post in the wake of a tragic accident in which a roof overhang collapse at the Novi Sad railway station killed 14 people and seriously injured three others on Friday.

Dacic: 13 bodies retrieved from ruins in Novi Sad, death toll expected to be final

NOVI SAD - Serbian Interior Minister Ivica Dacic said on Friday evening the body of a thirteenth victim of a roof overhang collapse at the Novi Sad railway station had been retrieved from the ruins and that the death toll was expected to be final.

Vulin meets with Szijjarto in Minsk

MINSK - Serbian Deputy PM Aleksandar Vulin and Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto met on the sidelines of the 2nd Minsk International Conference on Eurasian Security on Thursday.

Vulin and Szijjarto agreed that Serbia-Hungary bilateral relations were at a historic high, the Serbian government said in a statement.

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic welcomed European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen at a ceremony outside the Palace of Serbia in Belgrade.

Von der Leyen, who has arrived on a two-day working visit to Serbia, was also greeted by Serbian FM Marko Djuric and Minister for European Integration Tanja Miscevic.
