Dacic receives holiday greetings from Hungary's Szijjarto

BELGRADE - Serbian First Deputy PM and FM Ivica Dacic received a New Year's greeting card from Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto on Wednesday.

Szijjarto wished Dacic a merry Christmas and a happy New Year, the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.

Orlic: We will not allow repeat of October 5 scenario

BELGRADE - Serbian Parliament Speaker Vladimir Orlic, who is also a Serbian Progressive Party deputy president, says the opposition Serbia Against Violence coalition was talking about alleged electoral irregularities beforehand and that this indicates it was preparing riots.

The authorities will not allow a repeat of the October 5 scenario, Orlic told Tanjug.

Elek: Citizens of Kosovo-Metohija have once again demonstrated unity

RASKA - Srpska lista leader Zlatan Elek said the citizens of Kosovo-Metohija had once again demonstrated unity by voting in Sunday's Serbian elections.

He said he was glad many Serbs from the Autonomous Province of Kosovo-Metohija had set off to central Serbia early in the morning to vote in the elections.

BELGRADE - The leader of the opposition Freedom and Justice Party (SSP), Dragan Djilas, said he expected a high turnout in Sunday's elections in Serbia and added that the SSP-led Serbia Against Violence electoral list would defend the citizens' will by all democratic means available.
