Tax declaration deadline extended to July 31
The deadline for the filing of income tax returns for 2022 has been extended to July 31, following a decision by the Deputy Minister for Taxation Policy and Public Property Apostolos Vesyropoulos.
Moreover, the payment deadline for the first tax instalment remains July 31.

Eleven people detained in relation to high-profile lawyer murder
At least 11 people have been detained in relation to the murder of a high-profile lawyer by armed assailants in Istanbul.
Şafak Mahmutyazıcıoğlu, a 42-year-old lawyer, was shot dead on Jan. 26 following a fight that broke out at a restaurant.

Professionals can only apply for tax discount after VAT payment
The discount of 25 percent for professionals' future tax obligations will only be activated after the payment of their value-added tax dues for the first quarter of the year by April 30.
Objective values set to increase this year

PM vows to end ‘unacceptable tax siege’

Russia Has a New Prime Minister
The Russian Parliament approved the proposal by the President of Russia to appoint the current head of the Federal Taxation Service Mikhail Mishustin as prime minister.
383 deputies voted in favour, no one voted against and 41 deputies abstained.

Objective rates to determine ENFIA breaks
The new property rates used for tax purposes, known as objective values, that will apply from June 2020, will be used to determine the level of the reduction of the Single Property Tax (ENFIA) for each property separately.
