Local players going global in digital advertisement
In every industry in every country where industry matures, local firms can go global. The Turkish digital advertisement market is no exception to this phenomenon. Up until a few years ago, there were no global players in the Turkish market and there were no Turkish firms competing for global markets. The digitalization of advertisement is happening faster than anyone could anticipate, however.

ATM targeted in Thessaloniki
A homemade explosive device detonated at the ATM of a bank branch in the Sykies district of Thessaloniki, northern Greece, in the early hours of Wednesday.
The explosion damaged the cash machine and the buildings facade but no injuries were reported.

BELGRADE -- Serbian Defense Minister Bratislav Gašić and Petroleum Industry of Serbia (NIS) CEO Kirill Kravchenko signed on Tuesday a memorandum on cooperation.

Serbia to get digital TV signal by 2015
BELGRADE - The Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications organised on Tuesday the first meeting with the national, regional and local broadcasters to discuss the transfer from the analog to the digital TV signal, which will happen in Serbia by June 2015.

Bulgaria's Retail Trade Turnover Increases by 4% Y/Y
In July 2014 the turnover in retail trade, except for motor vehicles and motorcycles at constant prices increased by 0.5% compared to the previous month, according to the national statistics preliminary data.
In July 2014 the working day adjusted turnover in retail trade increased by 4.0% in comparison with the same month of the previous year.
Turkey's telecom body given more power to monitor internet users
Turkeyâs Telecommunications Directorate (TÄ°B) has been granted the authority to monitor Internet users and block websites and their content without court permission, according to a new proposal made by the ruling party late Sept. 8.
