Illegal gambling sites blocked amid World Cup fever
The Greek polices cyber crimes unit has blocked access in Greece to 23 illegal gambling sites that allowed users to bet on World Cup soccer matches.
Officers said that the sites servers were located outside Greece in places such as Britain, Belize, Austria, Malta, Panama, Russia and Israel and that they were breaking the countrys strict gambling laws.

Police arrest 31-year-old man on child porn charges
The police forces cyber crimes unit said Thursday that it had arrested a 31-year-old man alleged to have been trading in child pornography.
The unit was told by Interpol that Internet users were sharing videos featuring children being sexually abused from IP addresses based in Greece.
SDOE impounds three cars after checks
Three cars with foreign number plates were impounded by the Financial Crimes Squad (SDOE) in Athens Thursday.
SDOE officers conducted random checks on a total of 12 vehicles in the southern suburb of Glyfada. The three cars that were impounded did not have the appropriate paperwork.

Over EUR 2 mn raised for flood relief through gov't accounts
BELGRADE - A total of over EUR 2 million have so far been raised for flood victims through the designated account of the Serbian government, around EUR 700,000 via PayPal, while the total humanitarian aid that arrived in the country due to the May floods has been estimated at EUR 19.5 million, General Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Veljko Odalovic said on Thursday.

The IT market in Bulgaria continues to grow, shows a survey of Computerworld magazine on the Top 100 ICT companies in the country.
In 2013 the turnover of the largest companies in the sector surpassed BGN 1.57 B and grew by 21%, compared to 2012.

Hailstorm Caused Extensive Damage to Car Dealerships in Sofia
The majority of used car dealerships suffered extensive damage from the severe hailstorm in Sofia on Tuesday afternoon, reports bTV.
A car dealership owner told the channel that the hailstones broke or deformed the windshields, back windows, headlights, mirrors, fenders of the cars and noted that the newer cars had more damage, than the old. “The old cars are sturdier,” he said.
