Urban Athens Festival | Athens | July 3-6

Billed as the "Greek Underground Revolution," the inaugural Urban Athens Festival promises fans of psychedelic rock and thrash metal a real treat from July 3 to 6. Twenty-four local acts are slated to perform at the Piraeus 117 Academy and Technopolis, both in the downtown Gazi district. The lineup includes the Acid Death, Septic Flesh, Nightstalker and many more.

Jazz Festival | Athens | May 27-31

The annual Technopolis Jazz Festival, a summer staple in the capital for nearly two decades and an event that has proven instrumental in shaping the local jazz scene, returns to the municipal cultural complex in Gazi for its 19th outing from Monday, May 27, to Friday, May 31. The event comprises three acts each night, starting at 9 p.m., as well as parallel events.

The Meet Market | Athens | April 20 & 21

Don't miss the Easter edition of the Meet Market this weekend, where you can browse the stalls of small local producers and designers and pick up special holiday-inspired gifts and original wares, as well as clothing, accessories, art objects, home decorations, vinyl records and artisanal products. There will also be street food, DJ sets and activities for kids adding to the fun.

The City of Athens has organized a morning of fun and entertainment at its Technopolis cultural complex, with activities, arts and crafts workshops, costume-making and a parade, a magic show, an interactive performance, and much more. The event starts at 11 a.m. and ends at 2 p.m. and admission is free of charge.

Chocolate Fest | Athens | February 14-17

Greece's biggest festival dedicated to chocolate takes place at the Technopolis cultural complex from February 14 to 17, and besides lots of chocolate tasting and presentations of sweet and savory delights, there will also be parallel events and parties. Doors open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily and admission costs 3 euros.

Vinyl Market | Athens | February 1-3

The annual Vinyl Market at the Technopolis cultural complex celebrates all things music for three days, with great discounts on albums, CDs and posters, DJ sets and parallel events. Opening hours are 5 to 10 p.m. on Friday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Admission is free of charge.
