Man arrested after threatening shop employee with grenade
Police in the Athens district of Nikea have arrested a 48-year-old man who abused and threatened a shop employee with a grenade.
Police said that a man had entered the electronic appliance sales with a cellphone for repair, which he claimed belonged to a relative.

UN wants $100 bln to boost digitalisation in poor countries
The United Nations has demanded a tripling of pledges aimed at filling the global digitalisation gap, asking countries and the private sector to hike the funding to $100 billion by 2026.
Around 2.7 billion people around the world were offline in 2022, according to data from the International Telecommunications Union, the UN's telecoms agency.

OTE’s Q1 profit rises on strong mobile business, cost savings
OTE Group, the country's biggest telecoms operator, reported a 4.6% rise in first-quarter net profit thanks to cost containment and its growing Greek mobile business.
Net profit came in at 135.3 million euros, up from 129.4 million euros in the first quarter last year.
Telemach mobile towers sold to Saudi company
United Group, the Amsterdam-based media and telecommunications corporation, has sold its mobile towers infrastructure in Slovenia, Bulgaria and Croatia to the Saudi company Tawal. While the value of the transaction has not been disclosed, United Group values the infrastructure at €1.22 billion.

US imposes $300 mln penalty on Seagate over Huawei shipments
U.S. authorities on April 19 imposed a $300 million penalty on Seagate Technology, to resolve alleged violations of export controls related to selling hard disk drives to Huawei Technologies, the Commerce Department said.
The manufacturer was involved in the shipment of hard disk drives valued over $1.1 billion to Huawei entities despite U.S. controls.
