Turkey on Monday issued a Navtex reserving a maritime area south of Cyprus for live-fire exercises, Kathimerini's Cyprus edition has reported.
The exercise is due to take place on Tuesday across a large section of block 5 and a smaller part of block 6 of Cyprus's exclusive economic zone.

Exxon Mobil drillship in Cyprus by Monday, will explore for oil, gas
The drillship Stena IceMax is expected to arrive by Monday at the Cypriot port of Limassol.
The ship has been commissioned by US oil giant Exxon Mobil to drill for hydrocarbons in Block 10 of Cyprus' exclusive economic zone. Block 10 is on the EEZ's southwest.
Turkey issues new NAVTEX blocking Kastelorizo
Turkey issued a navigational telex (NAVTEX) to announce that it is reserving an area surrounding the territorial waters of the small Greek island of Kastelorizo in the southeastern Aegean on October 31, for a search and rescue exercise.
According to the marine advisory, the Turkish Navy will block the area to marine traffic for four hours, starting at 11 p.m.

Sofia. Minister of Education and Science Krasimir Valchev hopes that next week the government will approve BGN 7 million for free internet connection (wi-fi) for 700 schools, he told a roundtable on digital education, Focus News Agency reports. "With these 700, there will be 1,800 with free wi-fi and 600 with none," he said.
