Romania to approve sale of local OTE subsidiary
The Romanian government is examining the sale of OTE subsidiary Telekom Romania to French group Orange.
The Romanian landline telephony company, formerly known a Romtelecom, is a 54 percent subsidiary of Greece's OTE Group, with the Romanian state controlling 46 percent.

OTE taps markets securing record low interest rate
OTE telecom announced on Wednesday the conclusion on Tuesday of the bookbuilding process for the issuance of a 500 million-euro seven-year bond in international debt capital markets.
The issuance was strongly oversubscribed allowing tight pricing. The coupon was set at 0.875 percent, the lowest ever achieved, OTE stated.

OTE intends to create at least three new subsidiaries
The management of Deutsche Telekom-owned OTE is considering the creation of subsidiaries that will undertake specific work and lead to an increase in the group's value.
Telecom giant Turk Telekom posts loss in 2018
Turkey's telecom giant Turk Telekom reported a net loss of 1.39 billion Turkish Liras ($267 million) for 2018 versus 1.13 billion liras of profit the company posted in 2017.

Bulgarian Businessman Spas Rusev Targets Telekom Romania after Albania
The Bulgarian entrepreneur Spas Rusev has confirmed he is in talks to buy Telekom Romania.
Speaking to Capital, he added that because of the size of the possible transaction he is undertaking it with a partner.
Furthermore, he will at a future date also enter into talks to buy the Macedonian incumbent.
OTE sells Albanian firm for 50 mln euros
Deutsche Telekom-owned OTE on Wednesday announced the sale of its entire stake in Albanian subsidiary Telekom Albania to Bulgarian company Albania Telekom Invest AD for the amount of 50 million euros.

Telekom Srbija acquires two more cable operators
Telekom Srbija Group's Internet and Multimedia Coordinator and m:tel Director Vladimir Lucic said this in an interview with the daily Blic, adding that the company expect these acquisitions to be completed in the first quarter of this year.

Bulgaria-based Vivacom buys Telekom Albania - reports
The agency said this on Monday citing Albanian Top Channel broadcaster.
"Deutsche Telekom, the owner of Telekom Albania, is in the final stage of the procedure of selling its Albanian arm to Bulgaria's Vivacom," said the report, also carried by Bulgarian websites.
German telcom learns from media Rama's up in its business
Belgrade-based daily Politika writes this on Thursday.
Namely, Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama said two days ago that while Serbian companies are "welcome to Albania" - this is not true when it comes to "a strategic sector like telecommunications."
