Romanians Behind Cyber-Fraud Ring Plead Guilty in US
Fifteen defendants including several Romanians have pleaded guilty before a US judge of involvement in a multi-million dollar scheme to defraud US citizens through online auctions of non-existing goods, a US Justice Department statement issued on Monday by the US embassy in Bucharest said.
GCS: Romania's coronavirus death toll rises by three to 1,262
Another three people infected with the novel coronavirus have died in Romania, taking the number of COVID-19 fatalities to 1,262, the Strategic Communication Group (GCS) announced on Sunday. The latest victims are two men and a woman, ages between 64 and 71, from the counties of Buzau, Teleorman, and Dolj; they all had underlying medical conditions.

Romania Court Jails Ruling Party Chief Dragnea
The Romanian Supreme Court on Monday sentenced Social Democratic Party leader Liviu Dragnea - also president of the Chamber of Deputies - to three-and-a-half years in jail for illegal employment in Teleorman District, back when he chaired the county council in 2013.
