As I was watching Netflix's new series, "Stranger Things," I felt like I was watching a show that sent me directly to my childhood through a worm hole, sending me back to the times when I was first discovering thrillers, R-rated movies and Stephen King novels… 

Should the TV host be happy women and children are dying?

During the "Beyaz Show" on Kanal D, a woman claiming to be a teacher called in and said: "Are you aware of what is going on in the east, in the southeast of Turkey?" (Applause from the audience) "Here, unborn children, mothers and people are being killed. There are pathetic people who rejoice at children dying.

Turkish TV stars to join economic delegation's Argentina visit

Turkey's Foreign Economic Relations Board (DE?K) will make an official visit to Argentina in March 2016 accompanied by famous Turkish TV stars Halit Ergenç and Bergüzar Korel, who are very popular in Latin America.

Ergenç and Korel co-starred in the popular Turkish soap opera "Binbir Gece" (1001 Nights), screened under the title "Las Mil y Una Noches" in Argentina. 

Daily Hürriyet columnist receives Social Success Award from English organization

Daily Hürriyet columnist, screenwriter and actress Gülse Birsel has received the Social Success Award from the Centre for Turkey Studies (CEFTUS) in London on Oct. 28. 

Birsel, who usually writes two humorous columns for daily Hürriyet a week evaluating the Turkish society and the daily issues most of the people in Turkey face, was awarded CEFTUS' Social Success Award.
