Agreements For Financing the Gas Connection Bulgaria - Greece Are Signed

Several gas-to-gas agreements between Bulgaria and Greece have been signed in Sofia. The treaties were signed by the line ministers of the two countries - Temenuzhka Petkova, Konstantinos Hatzidakis, shareholders, the European Investment Bank and BEH.

The two ministers also signed an additional tax regime agreement for the pipeline for 25 years.

The Council of Ministers Signed the Contract For the Construction of the Bulgarian part of Turkish Stream

Bulgartransgaz EAD and Consortium Arcad Association are currently signing in the Council of Ministers the contract for the construction of the Bulgarian part of the Turkish Stream, which envisages the construction of a pipeline from the Turkish-Bulgarian to the Bulgarian-Serbian border.

The deadline for submitting applications for the Belene NPP project expires. Today it will be clear who are the candidates for the construction of a second nuclear power plant in Bulgaria.

Bids are expected to be submitted by US General Electric, a Chinese, Korean and French company. Last week, Russia's Rosatom reaffirmed its desire to participate in the project.

Energy Minister Temenuzhka Petkova commented on the state visit to Turkmenistan at the studio of the BNT. The possibility of importing gas from the Caspian state was also discussed in the interview. Petkova also commented on the procedure for selecting a company to implement Belene NPP and confirmed that Russia's Rosatom has declared a willingness to participate.
