Serbia, Bulgaria, Hungary to cooperate on gas supplies

Antic said this was the topic during his bilateral and joint meetings in Belgrade with Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto and Bulgarian Energy Minister Temenuzhka Petkova.

Antic told reporters they discussed joint activities to build additional gas transportation facilities, "and the possibility of joining the Turkish Stream," the Serbian government announced.

The Bulgarian parliament on Thursday voted overwhelmingly in favour of dropping the moratorium on the construction of the Belene Nuclear Power Plant, NPP.

A total of 172 out of 240 MPs supported the proposal by the ruling GERB party of Prime Minister Boyko Borissov which gives Energy Minister Temenuzhka Petkova the mandate to restart the process of seeking potential investors.

It was initially announced that this would happen last week, but later the coalition partners gathered with Prime Minister Boyko Borissov and they agreed the decision to be postponed for this week.
