"Most IS recruits from Balkans come from Bosnia and Kosovo"

According to Stefanovic, most of these recruits come from Bosnia-Herzegovina, and from Kosovo.

At a meeting of senior security officials held in Russia on Wednesday, Stefanovic said that a special challenge for Serbia was the complex security situation in Kosovo, due to the significant number of extremists associated with Islamic State.

Thaci accused of inviting "war, hatred, and conflict"

The head of the Serbian Government's Office for Kosovo and Metohija added that Thaci was no longer hiding the main goal of his past and current political activity - and that is "the creation of a so-called Greater Albania."

"His destructive activity represents a direct threat to the whole region, but also to Europe," Djuric said.

Kosovo Leaders Testify in 'People's Eye' Trial

Kosovo's President, Hashim Thaci, and the speaker of parliament, Kadri Veseli, have been interviewed by the Special Prosecution in the case against ten suspected members of the "People's Eye" organisation.

One of the ten is Murat Jashari, who wounded Azem Vllasi, the former head of the former ruling League of Communists in Kosovo, in a shooting incident in March 2017.
