First train crash inquiry meeting marred by acrimony

The first meeting of the parliamentary committee of inquiry on the fatal railway collision in Tempe, central Greece in February was marked by acrimony on Tuesday after New Democracy MP Thanos Plevris requested the opinion of the Scientific Service of the House on the legality of Course of Freedom leader Zoi Konstantopoulou's participation, as she is a lawyer for the families of the victims. 

Package for island move

There will be a financial incentive of an additional 1,800 euros added to the wages of doctors who choose to work outside urban centers and move to the islands, according to Health Minister Thanos Plevris.

Remaining Covid measures to be lifted, health minister says

All remaining measures introduced to combat Covid-19 will be lifted except in public and private health facilities and nursing homes for the elderly, the Health Minister said on Tuesday.

Thanos Plevris said his ministry's coronavirus experts committee had approved his proposal to lift of measures.
