POS deadline to get pushed back a month

The National Economy and Finance Ministry intends to extend the deadline for the mandatory installation of POS terminals by one month, the Athens Chamber of Tradesmen stated on Friday, after a meeting between Deputy Minister Harry Theoharis, the chamber's president, Giannis Theodosiou, and general secretary, Dimitris Gavalakis.

Declaring war on tax evasion

Officials are using warlike language when talking about their new efforts to fight tax evasion.

Covid-19 vaccination certificate not prerequisite to travel to Greece this summer, says minister

If a coronavirus vaccination certificate is introduced at an EU-wide level, as Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis suggested in a letter to the European Commission recently, it will not be a prerequisite for tourists to be allowed into Greece, Tourism Minister Haris Theoharis clarified on Thursday.

Government signs 57.5-million-euro deal for Alimos marina

The 57.5-million-euro concession agreement to use and exploit the marina of Alimos, in southern Athens, for a duration of 40 years was signed on Wednesday with Aktor Concessions.

The value of the agreement amounts to at least 177 million euros, including an up-front fee, an annual concession fee and a revenue-sharing expressed as a percentage of the marina's annual turnover.
