There Is Such A People
The party "There is such a people" will not be a part of coalition with the other so-called "parties of protest" ("Democratic Bulgaria" and "Rise up! Thugs, out"), but will propose a government.
This was announced by the leader of "There is such a people" Slavi Trifonov in a statement on TV "Seven-Eight", broadcast on its facebook page.
With a few days to go before the official campaigning period ahead of Bulgaria's July 11 early parliamentary elections, Boyko Borissov's GERB-UDF electoral coalition has 20.3 per cent of support among those who intend to vote, with Slavi Trifonov's ITN party close behind at 18.2 per cent, according to the results of a poll released by Alpha Research on June 9.
Leader of There Is Such a People (TISP) party Slavi Trifonov will not be on the party's list in the early parliamentary elections on July 11, he announced on his Facebook page on Monday.
"I will not run for a seat in the next Parliament, because I do not belong there. My job is to bear the responsibility for the people who are there, and what they do," Trifonov wrote.
Slavi Trifonov has made a grave mistake. He could have formed a government and, as soon as it failed to pass a confidence vote, leave parliament triumphantly as a winner, told bTV political scientist Rumyana Kolarova on the occasion of the cabinet-formingmandate returned by There Is Such a People (TISP).
Today, April 19, the President calls representatives of the parliamentary parties for consultations on the formation of a new cabinet.
During the day, the head of state will meet with all six parties.
First in turn are the representatives of GERB-UDF. The following are "There Is Such a People", BSP, MRF, Democratic Bulgaria and Stand Up! Mafiosi out!""
In a post on Facebook, leader of There Is Such a People (ITN) Slavi Trifonov, who is currently under mandatory quarantine and yesterday was sworn in as an MP online, responded to GERB's initiative to start their new parliamentary term from moving a draft bill on the majority vote and blaming ITN for having given up on this initiative.
