For a demonstration to have the right impact it needs to be held at the right time and to be, directly or indirectly, part of a comprehensive national strategy. In the case of the rally organized on Sunday in Thessaloniki about the name of the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, neither of the above applies. Seen from this point of view, it will not be beneficial for Greece.

Strong winds blow roof off Thessaloniki nursery school
A roof was blown off a nursery school in the Kordelio suburb of Thessaloniki in northern Greece due to gale force winds on Thursday.
Footage showed a man and a child crossing the street seconds before part of the roof structure hit the ground at the exact same spot.
