Pseudo-mufti wants … referendum to prove number of … ‘Turks’ in Thrace
A pseudo mufti in the northeast province of Thrace wants a … referendum. And not just any referendum, but one to show people and other countries, as he maintained, “who and how many Turks there are in western Thrace.”
The statement belongs to one Ahmet Mete, who used the “referendum” idea to prove, as he claimed, that “150,000 Turks” live in the northeast Greek province.

Muftis in Thrace, in northern Greece, have condemned the recent killing of 17 people by Islamist militants in Paris. In a statement Friday, the muftis of Komotini, Xanthi and Didimoticho condemned the ?dissemination of fear and blind violence, whatever their origin, and, in particular, when it comes from fanatics who invoke Islam, vulgarly insulting the holy name of God.?

Bulgaria To Exhibit Thracian Treasures In Paris' Louvre
Bulgaria will exhibit Thracian treasures in the Louvre in Paris next year, reports the Standart daily.
The exhibition "Antique Thrace - The Odrysian Kingdom" will feature the Panagyurishte golden treasure and 325 exhibits - mostly golden and silver items from various treasures.

During the closing reception, a stocky guy walked directly toward me and introduced himself. He was a professor at Namık Kemal University. Trainose discounts for students
European Youth Card holders will continue to benefit from 12-euro train tickets on the Athens-Thessaloniki-Alexandroupoli and Athens-Kalabaka routes, it was announced on Monday.
The deal, signed between Trainose and the General Secretariat for Youth, foresees 3,000 tickets sold per month to card holders on certain intercity services.

Code Orange For Torrential Rains Declared
Code orange for torrential rains is declared for 8 regions in Bulgaria, reports the BNT public broadcaster.
In the regions of Burgas, Yambol, Sliven, Stara Zagora, Haskovo, Kurdzhali, Plovdiv and Pazardzhik the rains are expected to be most intense.
In the afternoon the rains would most likely abate, but the situation would remain unstable.
