Tomato sauce

Chylopites, kofto macaronaki, kouskousaki, kritharaki, trachanas…these words may sound weird to you, but they are all types of Greek pasta which are used in everyday recipes around Greece. Pasta is made with ingredients such as milk, wheat and eggs.

The Hellenic Food Authority (EFET) has announced a recall of tinned mackerel in tomato sauce sold under the Altura Seafood trademark due to unsafe levels of histamine.

According to EFET, cans produced on 12/11/2016 with an expiration date of 12/11/2019 should be discarded and not consumed.
