Bulgaria's government on August 8 approved a decision on the planning and conduct of the upcoming elections for municipal councilors and mayors on October 27. Deputy Prime Minister Tomislav Donchev was assigned to be in charge of the preparation and organization of the local government elections, reports BNT. 

President Rumen Radev will discuss today with representatives of the institutions involved in managing the crisis with the spread of African swine fever, the risks, financial and social consequences, as well as the expected results of the measures taken, the Head of State's Secretariat announced.

According to Deputy Prime Minister Karakachanov, the measures applied have not produced any result. 

BSP has demanded resignations because of the African swine fever, which has already caused a state of emergency in some regions of the country - in Ruse, Pleven and Razgrad. In front of the media in parliament, BSP stated that they wanted the resignations of the director of the Bulgarian Labor Office Damian Iliev and the agriculture minister Desislava Taneva.

We need to spend more money on cybersecurity. This was what Deputy Prime Minister Tomislav Donchev told bTV after the hacker attack at the NRA. According to him, the costs for cybersecurity are 5 Million BGN per year.

Projects for over BGN 17 billion have been implemented by municipalities with the help of EU funds since 2007. This was reported by the National Association of Municipalities at its final conference on this mayoral mandate.

Bulgaria needs more industrial zones in the south and in the north, Deputy Prime Minister Tomislav Donchev told Prime Minister Boyko Borissov yesterday, as they both traveled to the industrial zone near Bozhurishte. According to him, Bulgaria needs 4-5 new zones in the north and up to 3 in the south. 

Good investment with 200 new jobs. This is industrialization and income growth. This was stated by Prime Minister Boyko Borisov in the village of Karapelit, Dobrich district at the opening of a new production line of a plant for the production of oil. The company is processing 500 tons of sunflower per day, with 80% of the production being exported to the EU, China and the Middle East.

Prime Minister Boyko Borissov opened in Pazardjik a plant for production of automotive parts of the German company Kostal.
 The ceremony was also attended by the Deputy Prime Minister Tomislav Donchev, the Minister of Finance Vladislav Goranov, the President / 2012 - 2017 / Rosen Plevneliev, the Mayor of Pazardzhik Todor Popov and the management of the company.

''The energy efficiency program will be restored next year'', Prime Minister Boyko Borissov told journalists in Pazardzhik.

He specified that his requirements and parameters are still under consideration.
