Greece, swarming with museums, is definitely the place to be for International Museum Day! Concerts, guided tours and workshops are planned around the country with admission to most cultural institutions free.

The Organization of Youth and Sports (ONA) is inviting people for picnics around Athens with guided tours around Philopappou hill, Lykavittos and Ilission Park. Highlights of the tour will be the picnic points.
Participants are invited to be wearing comfortable clothes and shoes and to have a packed lunch with them.

Free tour around the Athens Concert Hall
The Athens Concert Hall has planned a free tour, for the 16th and 17th of May, between 12:00 and 18:00. This action is titled “Open House Athens 2015″ and is undertaken by the Open House Greece NGO.

Graffiti cleaned up from facade of Archaeological Society in Athens
Municipal workers on Thursday removed graffiti from the facade of the building hosting the Archaeological Society in central Athens.
The neoclassical structure, which is located at the junction of Panepistimiou and Omirou streets, has been vandalized several times.

Dozens of migrants rescued at sea
The Greek coast guard and port police rescued dozens of migrants in six separate incidents over the course of less than 24 hours, the Athens-Macedonian New Agency reported on Tuesday.
