Montenegro Resort Says Coronavirus Quarantine Centre Would Wreck Economy

All political parties in the local assembly in Ulcinj have demanded an urgent meeting with the government after the Health Minister Kenan Hrapovic said that if cases start to occur, quarantine facilities will be opened at the former military base in Zoganje near Ulcinj and in the Danilovgrad and Niksic municipalities.

Canadian Tycoon Sells Montenegrin Superyacht Marina

The management of Porto Montenegro and the Investment Corporation of Dubai, ICD, which is controlled by the Emirati government, are expected to officially announce the unexpected sale of the superyacht marina on Friday.

Adriatic Marines, which manages the marina, would not comment on the sale, which has been widely rumoured over the past two days in the Montenegrin media. 

Montenegro's Royal Capital Bids for World Heritage Status

Montenegro on Friday will submit an application for the historic core of Cetinje to join the UNESCO heritage list.  

Once the nomination has been submitted, it will then undergo a process of scrutiny and evaluation by UNESCO and its advisory body, the International Council on Monuments and Sites.

Turkish Firm to Build Aqua Park in Montenegro

Ulcinj Aqua Park and Entertainment, the Montenegrin arm of a Turkish chain of amusement parks, on Tuesday said a large water park will be built in Ulcinj by the summer of 2015 at a cost of 5 million euro.
 
The park will be constructed near the 14-kilometre beach near the coastal resort of Ulcinj and will employ about 200 workers.

Luxury Hotel Adds to Montenegrin Marina's Lustre

A new luxury five-star hotel, the Regent Porto Montenegro, opened on Wednesday in the coastal town of Tivat - part of a drive by Montenegro to boost its appeal to high-end tourists.

A glamorous party hosted by the owner of the marina, Canadian businessman Peter Munk, celebrated the opening of the country's fifth five-star hotel.

Montenegro Marina Gets New Luxury Hotel

The new five-star hotel, Regent Porto Montenegro, is due to open on Friday in the coastal town of Tivat as the country seeks to attract more wealthy tourists.

The hotel, situated at the centre of the Porto Montenegro marina at a former naval base in Boka Bay, is managed by Taiwanese company Regent, which runs a chain of hotels around the world.
