PM Orban to participate in Poland ceremonies on 75th anniversary of Auschwitz-Birkenau liberation
Prime Minister Ludovic Orban pays an official visit to Poland on Monday, to participate in the commemorative ceremonies devoted to the 75th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau Nazi concentration and extermination camp, the Government's Press Office informs.
Praid salt mine sees over half a million visitors year-to-date
More than half a million people have descended into the Praid salt mine - Harghita County, since the beginning of the year, with visitor numbers on the rise from the previous year, salt mine director Zoltán Seprődi told AGERPRES on Monday. Specifically, 523,129 visitors entered the mine between January - August this year, with monthly numbers ticking up from a year ago, except for March.

Exhibition about Croat WW2 death camp Jasenovac to open at UN
First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic will officially open a Serbian-Jewish exhibition "Jasenovac - the Right Not to Forget."
The Serbian government announced this on Tuesday, adding that the exhibition will be opened on January 25 at the United Nations building in New York City, organized by historians from seven countries.

The Red Army entered Auschwitz liberating 7500 prisoners. The date was January 27th 1945 and in the following days 200 of the prisoners died, regardless of the medical assistance provided by the allied forces.
