Tourist arrivals increased in 2014
Tourist arrivals and overnight stays rose by 8.7 % and 5.5% respectively in 2014, compared with the previous year, according to Hellenic Statistical Authority.
Total room occupancy in hotels (except campings) rose to 47.3% in 2014 from 45.2% in 2013.

Turkey sees 'very slight decline in tourist numbers' despite problems
Turkey saw a very slight decrease in tourist numbers despite all the negativities, said interim Culture and Tourism Minister Yalç?n Topçu, adding that these losses were not irreversible with government incentives.

How much do tourists spend in Greece?
The number of tourist arrivals to Greece may be on the rise, however these record-breaking numbers are not linked to an increase in the money they spend in Greece while on their visit. The Research Institute for Tourism (ITEP), a non-profit organization founded by the Hellenic Chamber of Hoteliers, found that the average amount spent by visitors to Greece in 2014 was 70.4 euros per day.

Global tourist numbers up 4 percent in first half: UN
The number of international tourists rose by 4 percent worldwide during the first half of 2015 although security and health concerns hit hard some African destinations, the UN World Tourism Organization said on Sept. 10.
