There are growing concerns in the ranks of the government over a trend of large crowds gathering in public squares in Athens and other cities in contravention of regulations banning groups of more than 10 people and dictating social distancing.
Reconstructed Omonia square to be handed over next week
The reconstructed Omonia Square in central Athens will be delivered to the public by the end of next week, Mayor Kostas Bakoyannis said on social media on Thursday.

The green tramway rails around Russian Monument Square will be extended to Macedonia"Square, so a linear city park with a bicycle and recreation areas will form in the area, Yordanka Fandakova announced on Facebook. Meanwhile, parking spaces as well as local lanes will be preserved.
