President Donald Trump threatened Friday to seal the US-Mexico border "entirely" if Congress does not approve billions of dollars in funding for a wall, reports AFP. 

Citing Pristina-based Koha Ditore's report from Brussels, the agency said that EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini and EU commissioners for trade, and neighborhood policy and enlargement negotiations have sent a joint letter to Haradinaj.

In it, they "offer a solution to the problem related to taxes with Serbia."

Bosnia-Herzegovin' s Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Minister Mirko Sarovic said, commenting on Pristina's measures, aimed also against goods from central Serbia, that there was no need to resort to countermeasures - but that BiH's response could be a request for the exclusion of Kosovo from agreements that guarantee free trade.

"We expect the talks on preferential trade agreements with Singapore, Israel, Serbia and in the future with India and Egypt to be completed shortly," Putin said at a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council held in St. Petersburg on Thursday, TASS is reporting.

The international organization AmChams in Europe, established in 1963, serves as the umbrella organization for 44 American Chambers of Commerce (AmChams) from 42 countries throughout Europe and Eurasia. They represent the interests of more than 17,000 American and European companies employing 20 million workers.

The statement was that by introducing 100-percent import fees on goods from Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina, Pristina violated the provisions of CEFTA on free trade in the Western Balkans.

She reiterated that Brussels expected the CEFTA secretariat and all sides to take the necessary measures to guarantee that the agreement was honored.

The official overseeing the European Union's future enlargement has said that, in the long term, it would be "more honest" for the bloc to give up talks on membership for Turkey.

Participants in the summit issued the Sofia Guidelines for Cooperation between China and CEE with "Deepening open and pragmatic cooperation for inclusive prosperity" as its theme. They stressed that the 16+1 Cooperation constitutes an important part of and a positive complementary to the relationship between China and the EU:

According to the British Express, Pahor said the EU "could not hope to take on the likes of Serbia, Montenegro and Albania as new members in its current state."

"A weak EU will not be able to expand to the Western Balkans," he told during a forum in Bled on Tuesday, in the presence of European Commission's chief Brexit negotiator Michel Barnier.

Asian countries have voiced concern about the potentially devastating impact of a U.S.-China trade war, with ministers calling for the acceleration of talks for a gigantic Beijing-backed free-trade deal that excludes the United States.
