Driving along the main road Plovdiv - Smolyan is difficult due to a car crash that happened this morning near the village of Zlatitrap, reported bTV.

Five men were hospitalized after a 31-year-old motorist lost control of the car she was driving and crashed into a snack food outlet in the Kato Toumpa neighborhood of Thessaloniki on Tuesday night.

The four men, aged between 51 and 59, are all expected to make a full recovery, while the driver was treated for minor injuries. Police are investigating the cause of the accident. 

Three people are dead on the site of the car crash in the early hours of Tuesday on the highway in the eastern part of Hungary, reported Hungary Today, cited by NOVA.

Spokesperson of the local police explained that the incident happened between a bus with Bulgarian registration number and a Polish truck.

Criminalists monitor against the transportation of illegal immigrants, trafficking of weapons and stolen goods, reported BNT. 

The purpose of the inspections is also to reduce road accidents.

Analyses show that major road accidents involving trucks and buses result in more deaths and injuries, compared to other road accidents.

Fatal traffic accidents in Turkey decreased by 53.3 percent from July 1-19 compared to the same period last year, thanks to a newly-introduced monitoring and imaging system for traffic, Turkish national police announced on July 20.

In just one week, traffic police have identified 18,000 road violations, the number being significantly higher than the weekly numbers of violations in the last two months, they were around 10 000-13 000. Reported by Mediapool.

Heavy truck has crashed on Trakia highway, in the area of km 5, at the junction for Novi han. Fortunately, there were no injuries in the incident, told the Interior Ministry to Focus agency.

Around 7,300 people were killed in the traffic accidents in Turkey in 2016, according to statistics released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK). 

Some 43.5 percent of those killed were drivers, 33.1 percent were passengers and 23.4 percent were pedestrians.
