Traffic congestion on Venti Street has now been restored

Anticipated heavy traffic looms over Bulgaria as the nation gears up for the upcoming holidays. According to projections from the Institute for Analyzes and Assessments in Tourism, nearly 1 million Bulgarians are expected to embark on journeys during this period.

Municipal councilors affiliated with the "Spasi Sofia" movement are advocating for changes to the parking system in the capital city. Among their proposals is the extension of the blue zone to include Sundays, along with an additional hour of operation until 9:00 PM. The aim is to manage parking more effectively and alleviate congestion, particularly in busy areas.

Authorities in Istanbul, a bustling metropolis home to 16 million, are implementing safety measures to enhance traffic flow and prevent accidents as citizens return home following the nine-day Eid holiday.

Istanbul Police Headquarters announced a series of traffic measures to be implemented between April 5 and 15, the period of the holiday and the second-semester break.

Three individuals sustained minor injuries after a nine-vehicle pileup on Alimou Avenue in southern Athens at its junction with Vouliagmenis Avenue. 

One of the injured was extricated from her vehicle by firefighters using a rescue rope.

The accident has caused traffic congestion on Alimou Avenue, at the intersection with Vouliagmenis Avenue.

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya has warned drivers that nine people lost their lives and 1,047 people were injured in traffic accidents on the first day of the Eid holiday.

As the March 3 national holiday weekend comes to a close, travelers are advised to brace themselves for heavy traffic on major roads and highways across the country.

As you can imagine, it will be "hell" on the roads in the afternoon because big crowds are expected. Increased traffic and congestion are expected throughout the country, especially in Belgrade.
At all exits from the city, you should expect a larger number of vehicles, and on the highway, you should certainly expect bigger crowds than usual.

Despite the complaints about the traffic congestion caused by the construction of a flyover on a ring road in Thessaloniki, the Infrastructure Ministry has categorically rejected any possibility of suspending the project, as the inconvenience will be temporary and the benefits will be permanent.

In a significant development for residents of Sofia's "Geo Milev" and "Slatina" districts, vital boulevards and streets have faced traffic restrictions due to ongoing subway construction. The ambitious metro project, set to traverse these neighborhoods, has prompted concerns among locals about potential traffic jams and the adequacy of alternative routes.
