Uber, Bolt and Clever launch online petition demanding fast ride-sharing regulation
The Coalition for Digital Economy, an independent organization that represents the major ride-sharing and e-hailing companies in Romania Uber, Bolt and Clever, launched the online petition #continuam, an initiative for everyone who wants modern urban transport services to continue working in Romania, the association said in a release.
Two Heavy Crashes Closed The Road To Danube Bridge 2
Two heavy crashes closed the road to Danube Bridge 2 between Montana and Vidin on Thursday evening. The traffic was blocked for hours and that led to huge traffic jams.
The first crash was between a truck and a minibus. Sacks of cream were poured from the truck. The lorry's cabin had to be cut to get the driver out. He was injured and taken to the Vidin hospital.
Smart parking scheme to ease congestion in center
A new electronic system designed to facilitate parking in central Athens and heralded on Tuesday by Mayor Giorgos Kaminis is to start operating in the next few months.
Kaminis described the scheme as a "useful tool which among other things will ease traffic congestion on streets and reduce air pollution."

Pileup causes traffic delays in Thessaloniki
Around a dozen vehicles were involved in a pileup on the western-bound lane of the Thessaloniki ring road on Friday morning, causing significant traffic delays.
Traffic Police said an estimated 15 cars smashed into each other, but there have been no reports of injuries so far.

A kilometre-long traffic jam has formed near the 44 km mark of Hemus Motorway in the direction of the capital, Focus News Agency reports. The vehicles move in columns starting from the motorway entrance at Botevgrad. The reason for the congestion is the heavy traffic and the repair works in the area of the tunnels.

A Limit of 90 km/h is Introduced on Trakia Highway between Chirpan and Stara Zagora
Due to bumps on the road of Trakia highway in the section between Chirpan-Stara Zagora on Monday a limit of 90 km / h is introduced, Road Infrastructure Agency announced. The section is 40 kilometers long and was put into operation in 2007.
In this area potholes were formed in the right lane nearly a year after the road was released.
Refugees block national highway to protest living conditions
The Athens-Lamia national highway has been blocked by around 100 migrants and refugees living at the nearby Malakasa hotspot in eastern Attica.
The road block was initiated to protest against living conditions at the hotspot which had flooded earlier on Monday due to heavy rainfall in the area.
