Six tourists sustained minor injuries in downtown Athens on Monday afternoon after a wire detached from a trolley bus and struck the top floor of a double-decker tour bus. 

None of the injured individuals came into contact with electricity, and the incident resulted in only minor material damage. 

An ambulance quickly responded to the scene.

STASY, the company that operates the Athens metro and tram, plans to utilize the energy from the braking of trains on Metro Line 1 and its conversion from kinetic to electric.

One pedestrian was fatally injured and another seriously when a car collided with a tram at Edem station on Thursday in the southern Athenian suburb of Palaio Faliro.

One passerby was fatally injured, and another was hospitalized at Nikaia General Hospital and is in critical condition.

In Sofia, an anonymous driver contacted Nova TV, recounting a recent traffic accident involving a tram and a Road Assistance car. The collision left the tram driver fleeing the scene, exhibiting aggressive behavior.

Following the incident, the police arrived on-site to conduct alcohol and drug tests on the public transport driver, which revealed a positive drug test.

Athens will be without trolley services on Thursday as employees announced a work stoppage on Monday between the hours of 12 p.m. and 4 p.m.

The employees will be holding their general assembly at the central trolley depot.

At least 26 people have been injured, with one severely hit, in a collision between two trams in Türkiye's northern province of Samsun, local media has reported.
