A tourist boat capsized in a storm on Italy's Lago Maggiore in the northern Lombardy region on Sunday, with at least three people confirmed dead, Italian media reported.

From August 16, low-cost airline Blue Air will offer a second daily flight from Bucharest - Henri Coanda to Linate, Milan. "Prices start at 9.99 euros per segment - all fees and a free change included," the company said Tuesday in a press statement.

The number of air passengers "at least halved" in March, when the novel coronavirus peaked, the 27-member-bloc's statistical office said on June 16.

Restrictive measures, to stem the spread of the COVID-19, affected the aviation sector deeply, Eurostat said.

In March, versus the same month 2019, the largest decline was seen in Italy by 85%, or 11.9 million.

Bulgaria Air and Air Italy have signed a large partnership to offer their customers a better and more convenient connection between Bulgaria, Italy, the United States, Canada, Asia and Africa.

From December 10 until the end of the winter season, the national carrier Bulgaria Air will operate from and to another Milan airport - Linate Central Airport, reports dnes.bg. 

Linate Airport is in close proximity to Milan - located about 7 km from the city center and offers many different transportation options, the airline reports.

Alitalia will launch a Milan to Athens direct flight (Linate) on December 1, 2017. The planes will be landing at the Milan airport of Linate, located only 7km from the city centre, offering travellers the chance to visit one of the fashion capitals of Europe in a fast way.

Irish low cost air carrier Ryanair is embellishing its 2016 summer flight schedule with five new routes from Athens to Bucharest, Corfu, Malta, Bologna and Mykonos as well as more flights to Thessaloniki, Rhodes and Santorini.
