A drunk driver was arrested after trying to avoid a police check.
Minutes after midnight today, a patrol car in Trud issued a signal to stop a car passing through the village with a stop light. However, the driver did not obey and continued in the direction of Plovdiv.
Airport cargo worth millions stolen from Toronto's airport
A cargo container with gold and other items worth over $20 million Canadian (US$14.8 million) was stolen from Toronto's Pearson International airport, authorities said Thursday.
Peel Regional Police Inspector Stephen Duivesteyn said a "high value" container was taken from a holding area facility after being unloaded from a plane Monday evening.
Tesla profits fall on vehicle price cuts
Tesla reported a drop in first-quarter earnings on April 19 as price cuts at Elon Musk's electric vehicle company boosted demand but hit profit margins.
Profits came in at $2.5 billion, down 24 percent from the year-ago period on revenues of $23.3 billion, which were up 24 percent.

Bulgaria: A Mother and a Child Died in an Accident on the Sofia-Samokov Road
Tragedy near the wall of the "Iskar" dam. A car and a truck collided. A 13-year-old girl and her mother died on the spot.
The signal was given at 4:40 p.m. and two ambulances went to the scene. Medical teams pronounced the girl and the woman dead. The father, who was driving, was transported in serious condition to the District Hospital, where doctors will fight for his life.
Hydrogen-powered bus tested in central Athens route
The first Greek bus running on hydrogen was tested on regular schedules on Wednesday by OSY SA, which runs the buses and trolleys for the Transport for Athens (OASA Group).
The Urbino 12 Hydrogen was provided to OSY by Solaris Hellas SA following an open invitation by the Infrastructure & Transport Ministry.

European car sales shift higher in March: data
Sales of new cars jumped last month in Europe, surpassing the level of one million for the first time since June 2021, according to data from the European Automobile Manufacturers Association published on Wednesday.
New car registrations hit 1,087,939 in March, an increase of 28.8 percent from the same month last year.

Tunnel boring machine set to start on metro extension
With the assembly of one of two massive tunnel boring machines (TBM) in its final stage, the project to extend the Athens metro is moving ahead, despite some delays on the way.
The other TBM is expected to arrive in Greece in July, aiming to start operations in October.
