Lime to terminate Athens scooter service, report says

Electric scooter-sharing service Lime plans to terminate its operations in Athens in the wake of poor economic results, according to a report in Solomon MAG.

According to the same report, the California-based startup plans to downsize its business in the northern port city of Thessaloniki, while relaunching in Rethymno, in northern Crete.

Shared Scooters in Sofia Offer Free Ride on the Election Day

Residents of the capital can reach polling stations on Sunday, using the Lime shared scooters for 15 minutes for free, the company said. The promotion will be valid from 7am until the end of election day.

In order to ride the scooters, users must enter the code in their wallet in the Lime application.

The Lime Shared Electric Scooter Service is now available in Sofia after reaching a number of capitals in Eastern Europe. The company is the first to offer such a service in the city, and it is the largest in the world in the segment. 150 scooters will be available for people in the capital, according to an official announcement of the company.
