A coffin rest with an ancient inscription that reads the name of the Roman emperor Severus is being used in the southern province of Antalya's Korkuteli district.
Libya’s underground homes wait for tourism revival
Gharyan's unique underground houses were hewn into the mountainside centuries ago, and many lie abandoned, but residents of the Libyan town are hoping tourism can help restore their heritage.
"My great-great-great-great-great-grandfather dug this yard 355 years ago," said Al-Arbi Belhaj, who owns one of the oldest houses in the mixed Berber-Arab town south of Tripoli.

Ankara welcomes reopening of strategic coastal road in Libya
Turkey welcomed the reopening of a strategic coastal road linking Libya's east to its west, the Turkish Foreign Ministry said on July 31.

"We welcome the official opening of the Misrata - Sirte Coastal Road on 30 July 2021, which has been closed for a long time," it said in a statement.

Shocking photos of dead refugees and immigrants piled on each other near in a boat off the coastal city of Sabratha in the Libyan Sea have emerged online. A Spanish humanitarian ogranisation detected the gruesome sight of 13 dead people, including a pregnant woman and children, while other refugees and immigrants were sitting around the corpses in life jackets.
Three killed, seven rescued after Turkish cargo ship sinks off Libya coast
The bodies of three members of a Turkish cargo ship have been retrieved and seven others were rescued after the ship sank a few miles off Libya's Misurata port on March 16. Rescue efforts for another three are ongoing, state-run Anadolu Agency has reported.
