Two West Nile Virus cases confirmed in northern Greece
The Athens Medical Association (ISA) has expressed concern after the National Public Health Organization confirmed last Friday that two people have been infected with the West Nile Virus so far this year - in northern Greece's Katerini and Xanthi regions.

The Agency refers to a statement from the DR Congo Health Ministry. According to it, 1008 people died of the virus, and the reported cases of disease were 1529.

Another five people have died in the last week after being infected with West Nile virus according to the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (KEELPNO), which said the number of fatalities this year has risen to 27.
