Approximately 700 snow removal vehicles were out clearing the roads last night. All national roads are passable in winter conditions. Around 8:30 am, restrictions on the movement of heavy goods vehicles over 12 tonnes with trailers and semi-trailers across the Preval pass were lifted, said the press office of the Road Infrastructure Agency, reports Focus News Agency.
Two men armed with guns threatened the guards and driver of an armored truck making a cash delivery at a mall in northern Athens on Friday.
The incident occurred shortly before 1 p.m. at the Avenue shopping center in the suburb of Maroussi as a cash delivery was taking place for restocking an ATM on the premises.
A bus carrying 48 Serbian tourists was involved in a collision with a small truck early on Monday outside Thessaloniki but firefighters said none of the passengers were injured.
One of the drivers, however, was taken to hospital with light injuries.
The crash occurred at 1.50 a.m. after midnight near Halastra, on the southern-bound side of the Thessaloniki-Athens highway.
This week, Volvo is adding itself to the list of many truck manufacturers working on electric trucks.
The Swedish group says that it will bring the electric trucks to the road as soon as this year and start selling them next year.

A woman working for the municipal authority of Pyrgos in the western Peloponnese died after being crushed by a garbage truck in the seaside town of Katakolo on Wednesday.
