Tsarigradsko shose

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev landed in Sofia for a two-day visit, reported BTV.

Minutes after the landing of the government aircraft, a big cortege passed through  the center of Sofia.

The security measures surrounding the visit have led to a major traffic jam on Tsarigradsko shose, where traffic was heavy due to the long weekend.

Residents of the Gorublyane quarter of Sofia went on a protest on Sunday and blocked Tsarigradsko shose boulevard in both directions of the exit for Plovdiv, BNR reported.

Bulgaria has prepared a project to finance a new 10 km metro in Sofia and at least 9 metro stations for the next programming period until 2027, said Dr. Angel Jorgov, Deputy Director of the Investment Activity Division at Metropolitan EAD . Three of them will be on "Vladimir Vazov" Blvd., while the other six will be in the direction of the beam. k.

''Sofiyska Voda'' will suspend the water supply in some parts of the capital on February 5, 2019, Tuesday, in connection with the construction of a street water pipe near ''Suhodolska'' Street in the ''Fakulteta'' district, the repair of Tsarigradsko Shose Boulevard and the installation of a fire Hydrant in the ''Sveta Troitsa'' quarter.

After 10 years one of the underground parking lots to the Sofia Metro can be opened for use. This is the facility at the Vassil Levski Stadium, most of which has been in construction since May 2009, when this metro station was launched.

The traffic on Tsarigradsko shose and the other big boulevards is the most intense. The municipality of Sofia urges people not to use their own cars and urban transport, in order not to burden the traffic.
