The Amateur Film Factory, the project of renowned French director, screenwriter and producer Michel Gondry, landed in Cluj Napoca on the occasion of the 18th edition of the Transylvania International Film Festival (TIFF), and will stay here for two and a half months.

Romanian feature film "De ce eu?" (Why Me?) by director Tudor Giurgiu, has won the Award of the Bulgarian Guild of Film Critics for the best film in the Balkan Competition at the 19th edition of the Sofia International Film Festival running over March 5-29, organisers reported in a press release on Monday.

Feature film 'Why Me' directed by Tudor Giurgiu premiered at a gala Monday night attended by former President Traian Basescu, who told the director at the end of the event that he is convinced the film will be a success.

Why Me' draws on the case of prosecutor Cristian Panait, who committed suicide in 2002.

Film director Tudor Giurgiu's third feature "Why me?" will have its world premiere in the "Panorama" section of the Berlin International Film Festival running between February 5 - 15, informs the official website of the event.
