ACS honors alumni at gala event
Professor Photini Pazartzis, holder of the Constantine C. Karamanlis Chair at Tufts University's Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, and the late Taymoore Balbaa, architect, co-founder and partner of AXIA Design Associates, were the award recipients at the American Community Schools of Athens Alumni Achievement Awards Gala held on November 4.

Gerapetritis meets with Hellenic Innovation Network in US
Foreign Affairs Minister George Gerapetritis paid a visit to the Greek Consulate in Boston on Monday, as part of his visit to the United States after attending the UN General Assembly meetings in New York.
Cultivating philhellenes of the future
A group of 17 students (pictured here in Meteora) from the US, India, Japan, Venezuela, Taiwan, Mexico and Kuwait earlier this month visited Greece on a 10-day educational tour that included visits to archaeological sites, museums and modern monuments as well as meetings with government officials and business leaders.

The return of Karamanlis
I am not sure why Kostas Karamanlis has decided to resume an active public role at this point in time. Following his recent speech at the Society for Macedonian Studies in Thessaloniki, he is due for another appearance next Wednesday at City, University of London, while he may also speak at Tufts Fletcher School in Boston at a later date as well.

Mitsotakis to start two-day visit to the US
Conservative opposition leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis will start a two-day visit to the United States on Thursday, where he is expected to meet with fund managers.
On Thursday, he will speak at The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University in Boston and on Friday he will meet with investors in New York.

Greek toy seller Jumbo says July-Aug sales up 'more than' 10 pct y/y
Greece's largest toy seller Jumbo said on Wednesday that revenues for July and August rose "more than" 10 percent year-on-year.
The company, which operates 52 stores in Greece and 14 in Cyprus, Bulgaria and Romania, did not provide a specific figure for the period, the first two months of its fiscal year.
