Turkey’s top diplomat to visit Brussels for key talks with EU, NATO
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu will pay a two-day visit to Brussels to discuss the future of Turkey-EU relations with senior EU officials, including matters concerning visa waiver to Turkish nationals, updating customs union and renewing of migrant deal.
Turkey inaugurates new consulate building in Pakistan
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu on Jan. 14 inaugurated the country's new consulate building in Pakistan's commercial capital Karachi.
Addressing the inauguration ceremony, Çavuşoğlu said the new building is a symbol of Turkey-Pakistan friendship, which will be further strengthened in days to come.
Turkey expresses content over Ukrainian sailors return from Libya
Turkey is pleased to see the safe return home of four Ukrainian sailors from Libya, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said on Jan. 9.
"My treasured friend @ZelenskyyUa [Volodymyr Zelensky], we are pleased that Ukrainian sailors have returned home safe and sound," he said in reply to the Ukrainian president's Friday tweet thanking the Turkish leader.
Turkey, EU try to create positive atmosphere in ties: Turkish FM
Turkey and the European Union have taken some steps mutually attempting to create a positive environment to maintain relations, Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said on Dec. 24.
"With some mutual steps taken recently, we are trying to create a more positive atmosphere," Çavuşoğlu said, addressing staff of the Turkish Accreditation Agency (TURKAK).
Turkey urges respect for Ukraine's territorial integrity
Turkey's foreign minister on Dec. 18 said the dispute in the Donbas region of eastern Ukraine should be solved within "territorial integrity."
"The problem at the Donbas region should be solved within the territorial integrity and we are happy that the ceasefire continues, despite some small breaches," Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said on an official visit to Ukraine.

Turkish president receives Ukrainian premier in Ankara
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on Nov. 30 received Ukraine's prime minister in the Turkish capital Ankara, according to the presidency.
Erdoğan received Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal at the presidential complex, said the presidency.
Ukrainian premier praises relations with Turkey
Turkey is an important strategic partner for Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, the prime minister of the eastern European country, said on Nov. 29.
He attended a roundtable session by the Foreign Economic Relations Board of Turkey (DEİK) in Istanbul as part of his first official visit to Turkey.

Turkish, Saudi foreign ministers hold ‘sincere’ meeting
Turkey's Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu on Nov. 27 said he held a meeting with his Saudi counterpart to discuss bilateral relations and regional issues.
Çavuşoğlu said in a tweet that the "sincere" meeting with Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud was held on the occasion of the 47th session of Organization of Islamic Cooperation's (OIC) Council of Foreign Ministers.
Italian FM to visit Ankara
Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio will pay a visit to Turkey on June 17, Turkish Foreign Ministry said.
"During the meetings, bilateral relations between Turkey and Italy and Turkey's EU accession process will be discussed," it said in the statement.
