TAI awarded drone contract in Malaysia
Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) has won a tender to supply the Malaysian Air Forces with unmanned aerial vehicles.
The Turkish company outbid firms from China, the U.S. and Italy.
TAI will produce three ANKA model drones for the Malaysian army and install ground control systems.

Hürjet performs takeoff test
Türkiye's light attack aircraft Hürjet has successfully passed its maiden flight test.
An F-16 fighting falcon jet accompanied Hürjet during its first flight at Mürted Airfield Command, an air base of the Turkish Air Force in the capital Ankara's northwest, on April 25.
The aircraft passed its first engine start test in early February.

Türkiye's light attack aircraft Hürjet has successfully passed its first engine start test, Defense Industries Presidency head Ismail Demir has announced.
Malaysia chooses to buy Turkish drones
Türkiye will be selling armed drones to Malaysia, following Turkish Aerospace Inc.'s (TUSAŞ) winning of the southeastern Asian country's UAV tender, daily Milliyet has reported.
"TUSAŞ has left two Chinese opponent companies behind," the daily reported on Oct. 18.

Turkish defense companies to attend ADEX fair
A total of 41 Turkish defense companies will attend the fourth edition of the Azerbaijan International Defense Exhibition (ADEX), the region's largest event in the field of the defense industry and internal security.
The event will take place between Sept. 6 and 8 in the capital Baku.
A special section on a 2,800-square-meter area has been allocated to the "Turkish Pavilion."

Turkey delivers ATAK helicopter to Philippines
Turkey has delivered two ATAK helicopters, a twin-engine air vehicle developed by Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI), to the Philippines, the head of the Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB) has announced, marking the first delivery to a foreign country.

Turkish defense firms to attend fair in Chile
Turkey's largest defense companies will showcase their products at another international fair, this time in Chile.
Aselsan, Aspilsan, Havelsan, Nurol, Otokar, Repkon, Roketsan, Tisaş, Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ, and Canik will take part in the International Air and Space Fair (FIDAE), which will take place between April 5 and April 10 in Chile's capital Santiago.

Turkish Aerospace inks deal with Ukrainian firm to buy helicopter engines
Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) has inked a deal with Ukraine's Motor Sich to purchase 14 heavy class attack helicopter engines.
According to a statement from TAI on June 29, the deliveries will be completed by 2025 with the first two engines to be handed over in September 2022.
Turkish Aerospace building huge subsonic wind tunnel
Turkey's state-run aviation company, Turkish Aerospace (TAI), is building Europe's second-largest subsonic wind tunnel for testing the country's fighter jets.
"The wind tunnel is intended to be used in the development of indigenous, rotary-wing and fixed-wing aircraft, especially the Turkish Fighter," a press release read on June 18.
