Ankara has criticized the anchoring of USS Arleigh Burke, a United States Navy class of destroyer, at a Greek Cypriot port and said the steps taken in the region by the U.S. have damaged that county's long-standing neutral position on the Cyprus dispute.

The Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) and the Turkish-Cypriot Chamber of Commerce (KTTO) support all efforts aimed at the bilateral improvement of Green Line trade.

Turkey will continue to protect the rights and interests of Turkish Cypriots to the region's energy resources, Foreign Minister Mevult Cavusoglu said Sunday.

"We have protected and continue to protect the rights and interests of the Turkish Cypriots in Cyprus and its surroundings over energy resources," Cavusoglu said.

The Turkish government has condemned an agreement between the National Guard of the State of New Jersey and the Defense Ministry of the Greek Cypriot Administration, calling on the U.S. to consider its policies concerning Cyprus.

Cypriots vote on Sunday in a presidential election which has split the political right and is unlikely to produce a clear winner, setting the stage for a runoff on February 12.

Among a record 14 candidates, the race for the top job comes down to three hopefuls who were close aides of incumbent right-wing President Nicos Anastasiades, but are now bitter rivals.

A Greek spy watching and photographing the military bases on the Turkish Cypriot's Karpas Peninsula has been caught as he had forgotten his radio in his hotel room.

Turkish Cyprus national football team will have its own jersey for the first time since its establishment in 1955, thanks to a new sponsorship deal with sportswear giant Puma.

As part of the cooperation between Puma and the Cyprus Turkish Football Association (KTFF), the Turkish Cyprus men's national football team will be on the pitch with specially designed jerseys for three years.
