Ankara hosts photo exhibit on Pakistan
Pakistan's Embassy in Turkey is hosting a seven-day photo exhibit in the capital Ankara.
The exhibit - "Colors of Pakistan Through the Eyes of Turks," done in coordination with Anadolu Agency and the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality - features 52 sheets of photographers, including Anadolu Agency photojournalists Metin Aktas and Ismet Keten.

Oruc Reis sails back into Greek waters
Seismic vessel Oruc Reis entered Greek territorial waters on Thursday afternoon and is moving westward, within the area outlined by the Navtex issued by Turkey's navy on Monday.
The ship is accompanied by the auxiliary vessels Ataman and Cengiz Han and Turkish Navy ships. which in turn are monitored by the Greek Armed Forces.

Oruc Reis changes course again
Seismic vessel Oruc Reis switched course early Thursday morning and started moving southward, sailing 15 miles away from Greek territorial waters, according to the Hellenic Navy General Staff (HNGS).
The ship is shadowed by auxiliary vessels Ataman and Cengiz Han as well as some Turkish Navy ships.

Turkish butcher-turned-celebrity restauranteur Nusret Gökçe, internationally known as Salt Bae for his meat-cutting and salt-drizzling skills, sparked fury on social media after posting a photograph of himself with buffalos crammed together at a factory farm.
Price caps set for intercity buses
The Turkish government has set price caps for coach services between the country's cities based on the distance traveled.
According to the decision published in the Official Gazette, the maximum bus fare for a trip up to 115 kilometers in distance will be 100 Turkish Liras (or around $14) while travelers will be charged 130 liras for up to a 250-kilometer trip.

Over 28,000 returnees from abroad in quarantine
More than 28,000 Turkish citizens are in quarantine after returning from abroad as part of measures to stem the spread of the novel coronavirus, an official said on May 3.
A total of 28,700 citizens are in isolation at dormitories across 76 provinces, said Youth and Sports Minister Mehmet Kasapoğlu.

Turkey's state-run cultural institute said on May 1 it will teach the Turkish language to Australians and New Zealanders as it continues cultural activities in a digital environment because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Turkish plane with 2nd batch of virus aid lands in US
A Turkish military cargo plane carrying the second batch of medical supplies landed on May 1 in the U.S. to deliver aid to its NATO ally battling the coronavirus outbreak.
The plane touched down at Joint Base Andrews outside Washington, D.C.

Turkey will dispatch medical supplies to Palestine to help it combat with the novel coronavirus outbreak, the presidential spokesman said on Thursday, while a second cargo plane carrying medical equipment to the United States departed from Ankara to Washington D.C.
