It’s Final: Introduction of New COVID Measures in Sofia

According to the data of the Sofia Regional Health Inspectorate (SRHI), as of today Sofia is in stage 3 according to the National Operational Plan for dealing with the pandemic of COVID-19. Some of the measures will take effect on January 24, Monday, and others - on January 27. The decisions were made at a meeting of the Regional Health Council, DarikNews reports.

Over 3,200 Students from 5th to 12th Grade Returned to Class in Sofia

More than 3,200 students from 5th to 12th grade returned to class in Sofia today. Most of them are in private schools. The only municipal school in the capital, the 164th Spanish-language high school, Miguel de Cervantes, managed to bring together 176 green-certified students in 8th, 9th and 10th grades. Ten of the 28 classes there are already conducting face-to-face training.

The Minister of Education and Science Krassimir Valchev issued an order for distance learning until January 31st for students from 5th to 12th grade.

The education of students from 5th to 12th grade should be carried out, as far as possible, in an electronic environment by using the means of information and communication technologies, states the order.

The school year is extended; What about graduation and when a vacation is scheduled?

The calendar was changed by the Ministry of Education.
The changes are planned to end the first semester on December 18 and for the winter break to be at the same time for students in Vojvodina and the rest of Serbia.
The students return to school on January 18.
