For most people, luxury is probably the last thing that comes to mind when thinking about camping holidays. They're seen as a cheap alternative with a certain level of inconvenience and little in the way of home comforts. We also tend to view camping holidays as something for young people who are willing to compromise on comfort in order to enjoy the freedom of living out in the wild.

New worrying signs from Germany are causing concern about the course of tourism in Greece this year, as holiday market experts at European research company GfK say that the number of bookings from Greece's biggest market posted a big annual drop in January.

The Greek Association of Health Tourism is organizing a one-day event at the Jay Suites Grand Central building in Manhattan, New York, for June 1, to inform US and Greek-American entrepreneurs about the options Greece offers in health and tourism services.

The focus will be on medical and dental tourism, spas, sports tourism and even gastronomy tourism.
