Euro bank supports Turkish renewable projects with $85 million loan to TSKB

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has said in response to growing demand for green energy it is providing an $85 million loan to the Industry Development Bank of Turkey (TSKB) to finance private mid-cap companies investing in renewable energy and resource efficiency projects in Turkey.

EBRD says it has invested 9.4 billion euros in 2016, with Turkey among top recipients

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) stated on Jan. 13 that it invested a total 9.4 billion euros across 378 projects in 2016, matching its record amount set in 2015.

The top countries of EBRD investment included Turkey, Kazakhstan, Egypt, Poland and Bulgaria, while spending in Ukraine dropped sharply.

European bank offers financing for Turkish renewable energy via İş Bank

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has said it is providing $55 million in new funds to Turkish lender İş Bank to finance private companies investing in renewable energy and resource efficiency projects in Turkey, in a written statement on Oct. 25. 

EBRD says Turkey now biggest recipient of funds

Turkey, where the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), has been active for only five years, has become the largest individual recipient of EBRD financing. Investments rose to 1.4 billion euros in 2014 from 920 million euros in the previous year, the EBRD said by a written statement on late Jan. 14.
